A True Mother in Israel
 Cora Clemens Milligan, the fourth child of Ben and Florence Eckleberry Clemens was born April 8, 1916 in Birds Run, Ohio, and passed into eternity Thursday, June 27, 2002 in Whittier, California. Cora attended the country school in Birds Run, and completed her education in Newcomerstown, Ohio. Before Cora's mother was married, Cora's grandmother told her, "There must be true ministers of God in this world like we read of in the Bible, who follow the teachings of Jesus. Accept them when they come!" Our Father in Heaven looked down upon Grandma Eckleberry's, seeking heart, answering her prayer and sent two handmaidens of the Lord to their district. Cora, herself, made her choice to serve the Lord at the age of eleven. During the war years, Cora did office work in Shelby, Ohio, until she was united in marriage to Harold Milligan, in June of 1948. Harold and Cora made their home in North Salem, Ohio. Harold preceded Cora in death, in August, 1994, and Cora continued to reside in North Salem until moving to Whittier, California in February of 2000 to make her home with her son, John, and his wife, Shilani, and her grandsons. Left to honor her life is her: Son, John and his wife Shilani; her 2 Grandsons, Roshan and Earl; one Brother, Earl Clemens of Newcomerstown, Ohio; two Sisters, Ethel and Lucy Clemens, both of Akron, Ohio; one Niece, Shirley Burey, of Orrville, Ohio and numerous great nieces and nephews, and many, many dear friends. Visitation and funeral service to honor Cora's life will be held on Monday, July 1, 2002, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the chapel at Rosecrans Funeral Home, 8545 Rosecrans Avenue, Paramount, CA. Following the service, she will be taken home to Ohio for burial in the Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield, Ohio. Visitation in Ohio will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at 10:00 AM, both at Bundy - Law Funeral Home.
