Anton "Tony" Diedrick

Anton "Tony" Diedrick was born March 6, 1923 in Shafter Texas, to Frank and Esperanza Sosa Dutchover. He entered eternal life on June 27, 2002, in Panorama City, California at the age of 79.

A quiet, unasuming young man, who never wanted to be in the spotlight, he would slip in and slip out without ever drawing attention to himself. His good deeds and his mischievous nature, though, did not go unnoticed. He was a kind, loving, soft-spoken man, who achieved much in his life.

Tony faithfully served our country, in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and later became a master finish carpenter. He built three homes by himself using skill, craftsmanship and care for these were homes for his family. He met Amelia Mary Rosetta and they married after a very brief courtship. They celebrated their 55 year anniversary recently. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Debra.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Amy; his daughter, Debra Ball and her husband Bill; two grandchildren, Chloe and Christian Ball; two sisters, Hope Vasquez and Cris Barba and her husband Al; two brothers, George Dutchover and his wife, Elsie, and Albert Dutchover and many loving nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 29, 2002 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Oaks, located at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, where he was laid to rest following the ceremonies

Dad I miss your gentle smile. In the morning when I am in the kitchen at breakfast I still expect you to come around the corner wearing your blue pajamas, smiling as usual. Then 1001 things will remind me of you during the day. The kids talk about you. Today they saw someone with a bald spot. They said "Papa had one of those!" I hope those who love you will tell the kids all about you, bald spot and all.
Your loving daugher, Debra
