Mary Sylvia Chavez was born August 27, 1946 in Valencia, New Mexico. She entered eternal life on April 15, 2002 at her home in Whittier, California. She is survived by her children, Cynthia, Anthony and Steven Chavez; mom and dad, Lily and Ramon Aragon;Brothers, Joe and Rudy Aragon; sister, Josie Rivas. A vigil service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2002, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 13935 Telegraph Road, Whittier, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 19, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California.
